SETI Client Setup Disks
Use these disks to setup TA Cube Seti@Home on your machine. Since TA Cube is already a member of Team AnandTech, you will also be, with no need to sign up!
By downloading and using these disks, you agree to abide by all SETI@Home contest rules and that you will NEVER install this client on a computer unless you have explicit permission.
Disks updated 09/15/01: SETIDriver is now pre-configured to fetch and flush to the TA Cube SetiQ proxy server.
TA Cube SETI for Win95/98/Me Since these disks are pre-configured, this installation is as simple as can be.:-) Just create a directory called seti on your hard drive, download the zip file to it, extract the file, run setup.bat, and follow the on-screen instructions! What could be easier? The setup will copy over the necessary files, and start SETIDriver (which fires up the client). The setup also places a shortcut in the Startup folder for SETIDriver, so that the client will fire up when you start your system. You won't have to worry about restarting it each time. The SETI client will be invisible, but SETIDriver will appear on your taskbar so you can monitor your progress. IMPORTANT NOTE: You must be connected to the web when you run the install so that it can download your work units! |
